This documentary was made by UEL (University of East London) students in early 2014 to show the other side of London and how the minority of its population accommodates homeless people. One thing I've learnt from the video was what I think takes away the common misconception of why people become homeless. The common reason is because family or friends can no longer accommodate its resident, so as a result some people are left with no choice but to try and survive out on the streets. The statistics in the video show that the number could be worse (higher) in East London, as part of the area consists of poor boroughs. By hearing the story of one person in the video it tells me that the government is doing less to handle the issue. So as the years go it will be of no surprise that there will be an increase to all the statistics mentioned in the video.
